About Presidont
Presidont - or presidon't, as the name suggests - is an open platform that gives people a voice on their political leaders. In an increasingly interconnected world, we believe public sentiment about leadership should be transparent, accessible, and free from manipulation. Anyone can rate a leader, submit a descriptive word, and see how opinion shifts over time, across countries and verification levels.
How it works
Every leader on the platform has a live approval rating based on likes and dislikes submitted by users. You can also attach a single descriptive word to your review. The most common word for each leader is displayed on their card and detail page.
Ratings can be filtered by verification level and reviewer country, so you can see how opinion varies between anonymous users, email-verified accounts, and identity-verified accounts. The Compare page lets you plot multiple leaders on the same timeline to spot trends side by side.
Verification levels
One of the biggest threats to honest public sentiment data is coordinated manipulation: bots, fake accounts, and organised campaigns that flood ratings to push a particular narrative. Presidont counters this with a tiered verification system that makes large-scale abuse progressively more difficult and expensive.
Each tier remains fully visible and filterable, so you can always compare raw sentiment against more accountable pools of opinion and draw your own conclusions.
Unverified
Anyone can submit a review without creating an account or verifying any identity. These reviews capture the broadest possible slice of public opinion, but they also carry the greatest risk of manipulation. A single actor could register many throwaway accounts or deploy bots to skew a rating, so treat this tier as a rough signal rather than a reliable measure.
Basic Verified
Users who confirm a valid email address. Email verification raises the cost of running fake accounts significantly: each account requires a real, accessible inbox, and bulk email services are easily flagged. One email address, one account, one opinion. This tier filters out most automated bots while staying free and frictionless for genuine users.
Advanced Verified
Users who complete an additional verification step: either a small payment (card or Bitcoin) or a government-issued ID check. This is the highest accountability tier. The financial or identity cost of each account makes coordinated manipulation dramatically harder to scale. Flooding ratings at this level requires real money or real identity documents for every fake account, which is a meaningful deterrent against organised campaigns.
FAQ
Is Presidont affiliated with any government or political party?
No. Presidont is an independent platform with no political affiliation. We do not endorse or oppose any leader, party, or ideology. The ratings reflect aggregated user opinion, not the views of the platform.
Can I change my review?
Yes. Submitting a new review replaces your previous one for that leader. You can switch from a like to a dislike, remove your reaction, or update your descriptive word at any time.
Why do ratings differ between verification filters?
Different groups of people choose to verify at different rates, and some leaders attract coordinated campaigns that target unverified accounts specifically. Filtering by verification level lets you cut through that noise and see how opinion holds up among more accountable reviewers.
How do I suggest a leader to be added?
Search for the leader on the Leaderboard. If they do not appear, you will see an option to propose them. We review proposals and add leaders regularly.
What is Presidont Pro?
Pro is an optional subscription ($5/month) that unlocks extended historical data (1 year, 5 years, or all time), the ability to compare up to 10 leaders at once, and shareable comparison URLs. It also helps keep the platform running independently. Learn more
